Christmas at the Grot's

Yesturday Dan and I went to my parents house for christmas. My 2 step sisters, Molly and Jess were there. Jess is son CJ was also there. My sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Brad (What's up with the Paulsons) came down from Bemidji to celebrate Christmas as well.

Here are some pictures of the fun night.

This is my Dad, Ray, with 2 of the 3 items we got him. A utility knife, tape measure and an ornament. The belt was from his grandson, CJ.

This is my step sister, Moll with the earrings Dan and I gave her. We also got her 2 puzzles.

These 2 are of my nephew CJ with some of his presents. The top one is with his new sweatshirt from Sarah and Brad. The bottom one is with his new cars stuff that he got from Dan and I.

Replacement!

Well Dan and I decided that Star wasnt working out for us. She wasnt getting a long with any of the animals, would never listen to us or anybody. Potty Training wasnt working either. So we decided to take her back to the shelter and trade her in for some other dog. His name is Champ and he is a German Shepard Husky mix. He is roughly 6 months old.

Just kidding. Dan's mom got him a German Shepard for Christmas since he has asked for one ever since his ran away when he was a kid.

Happy Birthday Hayden!

I really wish we could be out there for Hayden's 1st birthday but we cant afford to go out there. The last time i seen him was in September when he came here with my brother. I miss them all very much. This is the only picture I have of Hayden on this computer.

Our Project Part II

We have finally finished everything except putting the door in. I am so glad that I got to work with my dad over the past years otherwise I wouldnt have been able to do this. Thanks a bunch DAD!!! The project so far as gone really good. Thanks to my dad borrow us some of his tools, we were able to finish this within a week, other than the door.

These two are of the finished wall without the door in. The top one is looking into our room and the bottom one is looking out of our room into the rest of the basement.

This bottom picture is of my hubby, Dan, cutting some insulation for the wall.

Our Project

Dan and I live dont live by ourselves right now, we live with his mother, grandmother, and his cousin. We live in the basement which right now is just one big open room. So we decided to have a little privacy we needed to build a wall and put in a door. I have worked with my dad doing construction so I figured I could do it myself.

New family member!!

I decided that since i got a camera for christmas as an early christmas present so I decided to start a blog. This is the first one.

I was due to have a new baby boy on Dec 4th of this year but back in July i had a miscarriage and lost our son Jeramiah James Dahl. So since we really wanted some companionship for each other, Dan and I went and found a new dog at the Humane Society in St. Cloud. Her name is Star.

She is about 17 weeks old and is in the puppy stage, Getting into EVERYTHING!!!!
